Black and White Photo Booth Rental
When you hear the words black & white photography what comes to mind? Fine art photography that hangs in a gallery? Ansel Adams and his wonderful landscape photos perhaps? Or how about Richard Avedon or Helmut Newton and their breathtaking fashion photography? All of these are great examples of a beautiful art form but what may not be at the front of mind is a black and white photo booth.
While theyβve been around since the invention of the photo booth back in 1888, itβs safe to say that a black & white photo booths simply do not get much thought. That is, until now. If you happen to be planning a wedding or corporate event, you may have noticed that black and white booths are popping up everywhere! Theyβre on everyoneβs wishlist and for good reason.
Thereβs a certain simplicity and elegance you get with a black & white photo that simply cannot be expressed with a color photo. And on top of that, the concept of the event photo booth is rapidly changing. The open air photo booth that you may have seen and experienced at a friendβs wedding or other social event has been unchanged for the last 10 years. Silly dollar store props, a green screen backdrop, small photo strip style photos and thatβs about it. If youβre lucky, maybe the photo booth has great lighting and your pics look great but truthfully, that hasnβt been the norm.
Well, thankfully all of that has changed here at SocialLight Photo. You see, we entered into this business because we have a passion for great photography and while the photo booth/prop thing was fun for a minute, we are much more excited to bring you stunning photos that you can be proud to post and show off. Itβs our mission to ensure that you look like you were just photographed for the cover of a magazine. So how do we do that?
First, we use a professional grade ring flash, the same one used on fashion shoots in NYC, Milan, Paris, etc. Why? Because it produces a flattering light that has you looking flawless. If itβs good enough for a LβOreal Lipstick campaign, itβs good enough for us. Next, we keep the backdrop clean and simple. Why? Because every skin tone looks amazing on a white backdrop. Because itβs a blank canvas and when you step in front of it, youβre free to express yourself however you choose. And lastly, because itβs free from distractions which naturally leads the viewerβs eyes directly to the star of the photo; You (and your friends). If that wasnβt enough, we ditched the props. Why? Because adding props into any of the photos above would be like putting a bumper sticker on a Ferrari. You just donβt do it.
We love Ansel Adamβs breathtaking black & white landscape photos. We adore Richard Avedon and Helmut Newtonβs masterful works and we believe in bringing that calibre of photography to you. More than you expected in a βphoto boothβ? Of course it is but thatβs the point. We believe that you should Expect Better Photography and thatβs exactly what we deliver on!
